Here are some of the dogs we have available for rehoming at the moment.  Please be aware that we cannot be sure how well any of the dogs will get on with any cats you may have at home.

These dogs are featured here because none of them were wearing ID discs when picked up and when scanned, none were microchipped. Look after your pet and get him microchipped, that way he will be returned to you if he strays. A dog must wear ID tags by law. Ask at reception for disc engraving done while you wait and microchipping by appointment.

We have new dogs arriving at the centre every day and so the most recent arrivals may not feature on this page for a few days. Please contact us if you'd like more up to date information.

Please - think carefully when deciding to rehome a dog.
Dogs are being let down by people who agree to take them, but then change their minds.

Picture of Brooke
Brooke
Brooke is a shy little Staffy girl who is a little unsure of people at the moment.
Brooke has now come out of her shell and is alot more confident than she was when she first arrived. She still isn’t keen on other dogs ,so would need to be an only dog in the home.
She will need some lead training as she gets excited and pulls but this can easily be corrected.
She hasn’t yet met cats (this can be tested if needed).
Brooke is a lovely girl who has had a bad start to life and would like a patient owner who will show her that life can be good and teach her to trust again.
Update:
Brooke has been in the paddock today and has learnt how to sit and give her paw, she also loves to run. This makes her happy when she can burn off some energy.

Picture of Mitch
Mitch
Mitch is a 4 year old Staffy male.
He is friendly and laid back with people and ignored our chickens. He is vaccinated.
Mitch is good with other dogs and has nice manners.
Mitch can be bouncy, so would be better rehomed with older children.

Picture of Bailey
Bailey
Bailey is an 18 month old Staffy bitch.
She is timid but very loving. Bailey loves to be cuddled.
Bailey is not that great around dogs possibly because she is timid and seems keen on cats.
She is very friendly with people and is quite strong on lead ,she loves to play.

Picture of Bob (Patty)
Bob (Patty)
Bob is a 6 yr old Patterdale terrier.
He would enjoy a home on his own where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves.
He does not like cats, and can be worried by other dogs.
Bob loves long walks and playing with his toys.

Picture of Rosie
Rosie
Rosie has just arrived.
She is 1 year old Rottweiler bitch.
She is quite bouncy, as still so puppyish but gets on well with other dogs.
She is good on the lead but will need further training.
Update:
Rosie has been out on the paddock today and proven to be very playful. She loves being with people. She is very strong and does like to jump up. This can easily be worked on with some training.
She likes other dogs and she was a good girl around the cats.
Picture of Zak
Zak
Zak is an 8 month old male Bull Mastiff.
He is very large and still growing. He is playful and will need training.
This poor sole was left tied to a bench and abandoned with his name wrapped around his collar.
He would ideally need to go to a home with older children or no children due to his size.
He is people and dog friendly.
An experienced owner would be best for him due to his size and strength.
Update:
Zak is a great dog ,he has been out today and all he wants to do is play, especially with the other dogs. He is one big lump of a dog and very friendly and strong. He will need to continue socialising with other dogs as he is so big and he still has lots of growing to do.
He has seen cats and was very keen to get to them.
He is a big softy with people.

Picture of Alfie
Alfie
Alfie is about 3 years old,a GSD X.
He is a happy dog, but dislikes being left on his own for long periods. He would like a home with someone home most of the time and to be the only dog.

Picture of Ben
Ben
Ben is a lovely Rottweiler X.
He is about 8 years old and was saved from death row.
Ben is good with people, a happy go lucky dog.
He seems ok meeting other dogs but has not yet been cat tested.
Update:
Ben's assesment went well today. He is a very loveable dog and very wiggly, mostly when he is around other dogs.
He does pull a little on his lead but this could be due to his excitement of getting out of his kennel, it's nothing that can't be fixed with some training.
He has met cats and ignored them and also the chickens.

Picture of Cassie
Cassie
Cassie is a lovely Alsatian x Collie bitch.
She is gentle, obedient, well trained and loving.
Cassie has previously been ill treated, so needs human company and can not be left alone for too long.
This lovely girl would suit an older person who does not work.
